New Clinic Roof:
We are putting the final touches, with rain gutters, on the new clinic roof. The change from a palm roof to a heavy gage metal will make it maintenance free for 20 plus years. This is an area that we use for youth meetings, an extra space for our annual VBS etc.
Pool Buildings:
We finished the painting on our pool buildings. We now have a typical adobe hut and palm hut; to add to the ambiance of the area. They came out great!
Painting the Ministry Center:
We have begun to give the ministry center a “new look” with changing out the paint colors and giving everything a fresh look. This will take us awhile to complete but the process has begun.
Team Cubbies:
We always had issues with the intensity of the sun ruining the wood doors on this area. We have changed it out to metal barn doors that look really nice and that should hold up better to the sun.
Palm Roof:
We have begun another big project in the ministry center. We are going to take off the palm roof, where teams eat, and pour a concrete roof. We will eventually add a second story that will give us another “space” to utilize and give the teams a beautiful panoramic view of the mountains as they eat. The pillars that are currently supporting this roof area do not help us at all since they were not built to support the weight of a concrete roof. They will remain in place but we basically have to add much heavier duty pillars that will work for the new roof. This will be a project that takes a few months to accomplish but we are underway.
