Marimba Update

Amalia Gutierrez is 70 years old and has been a widow for 12 years.  She works in the field, doing agricultural work; earning about $25 a month for her support.  The church in Marimba chose to reach out and help her.  Her comments “Thank you Sister Nancy and to those who donated the funding to help me have a worthy place to live for the time that I have left to live on this earth.  May God bless you richly for what you do to help the poor in this area.”

Marimba Update

Alejandra Gutierrez is 64 years old and has been a widow for 10 years.  Redemption Church from Crossville, TN provided the funding for this project and a team came to work alongside of some of the church members to do the construction.  Alejandra does field work; earning about $30 a month for her support.  Her house was in very poor condition and the church in Marimba chose her as a candidate with the Samaritan Project.  Her comments “Thank you for your help to give me a better place to live.  May God bless you back for all that you have done to help me and others in need in this way.”

Matazano Update

Leocadia Suchite is 61 years old.  She still has 2 children under her care and does field work to support them; bringing in about $30 a month.  She attends the Servant Ministries church in Matazano.  They chose her due to the very poor condition of her housing; wanting to help change that for her.  Her comments “Thank you Sister Nancy and to my church in Matazano for making this possible for me.  May God bless everyone that had a part in this and may He pay you back for what you have sown.”

La Puente Update

Francisca Gonzales is 75 years old and has been a widow for 8 years.  She still does field work and earns between $25-30 a month to support herself.  She did not have the ability to improve the state of her house and the church reached out to make that possible for her.  Her comments “Thank you for this great blessing that you have given to me and for taking me into account with this project.  May God truly bless you for all that you do.”

Dos Quebradas Update

Cecilia Ramirez is 65 years old and has been a widow for 5 years.  We chose her to be a candidate to be assisted with better housing under the Family Foundation funding.  Cecilia earns about $40 a month; doing agricultural field work to support herself.  Her comments “God bless you for supporting me in this way.  Thanks be to God that I now have a good and safe place to live.”

Agua Zarca Update

Cesar Lopez is 64 years old and married.  They still have 4 children living at home; ranging from 2 to 9 years in age.  Cesar cuts and sell firewood as a way to support his family; earning about $30 a month as an average. The church in Agua Zarca reached out to help give his family better housing.  The Rogers Family Foundation funding made this project possible.  His comments “First of all I am grateful to God and then to everyone who has made this possible.  My family is so thankful and pray for God to bless you back.”
