PAINTING THE MINISTRY CENTER
We have put the final touches on our painting at the ministry center. We have been working on this for almost 8 months but now that the front door to the main building and the front gate to enter from the road are done; it seems to be getting more notice and comments. It looks really nice and should be good to go for the next 5 years!
WELL AT THE MINISTRY CENTER
We have gone as far as we can on this project. A lot of money has been invested and we have seen at least some improvement in water production. It appears that this will be a difficult year for having adequate water. We ran out of water with our December and January teams and that is not usually the time of year where there is shortage. We didn’t have problems with our February teams because we were working on the well and emptying its production daily; providing enough to cover the need. The difficult months are usually just before the rainy season starts; in March, April and May…when the water table is low. But we have gotten reports of even some villages in the mountains having shortages this year already. We will be thankful for the “extra water” that we can generate from the well; to provide the needed water. Our well is our “secondary source” for water; when our city water hookups do not provide enough. Hopefully with the additional work that has been done; we will be okayJ!
WORK ON OUR SECOND STORY DINING ROOM ETC
We are giving another push to the concrete roof that was completed in November; with what was our palm roof covering. Creating a second story area to use will facilitate a number of needs. Many times with in-coming teams and our on-going needs for the Embrace program; we are juggling the space. We got the pillars for the second story completed and work on the tin roof is being done. I am hoping to be able to purchase flooring that can be installed while I am doing my southern fundraising trip. We will still have railings to put all around that level; but that will be subject to having the funding to do so.
